The Challenge:

In 2025, West Gate Bank faced increasing competition as large corporate institutions expanded into Nebraska. While the initial focus of their advertising centered on promoting free checking, it became clear that this message alone wasn’t enough to differentiate West Gate Bank from incoming national banks with larger budgets and broader reach. They came to us. West Gate Bank identified the need to pivot their approach. The challenge was to quickly pivot strategy and deliver a conversion-focused campaign that reinforced WGB’s long-standing role in the community.

The Solution:

We developed a targeted digital advertising campaign designed to reclaim attention and reinforce West Gate Bank’s competitive advantage: its deep community roots and commitment to reinvesting locally. By shifting messaging away from generic “free checking” and toward the value of local banking, we positioned West Gate Bank as a trusted Nebraska staple that understands its customers and keeps their money working within the state. The campaign leveraged a paid media strategy with high-impact streaming and video advertising placements across Performance Max, Amazon, and Disney to reach audiences most likely to consider switching banks. This focused, conversion-driven approach strengthened West Gate Bank’s presence in a crowded market and allowed them to confidently compete against national banks by leaning into what makes them unique to the communities they serve.
